KALES ALL TIME

It's been a while. I was going to use this post to vent but then I stopped myself. I asked... Why vent at all. It won't solve anything. The message will likely not get received. So, I refuse to vent.

However, I will complain about about how I burned my first batch of Kale chips I made the other day.

It was probably my 4th or 5th time making them. I know the routine pretty well. I placed them in the oven. I peek in around the 8 minute mark. They show signs of readiness. The browning of the edges has started. I say to myself...,just give it a bit more time". I peak in again at the 10 minute mark.... not much change. I say to myself again "give it a bit more time".

HOW MUCH MORE FUCKING TIME DO THESE GOD DAMN PIECES OF GREENERY NEED?

Then the smell came. Burned seaweed smell. BLAH.

My delicious Kale- shrivelled into pathetic almost blackness. I try to convince myself that they may be salvaged. I look at them and say to myself: there is hope for you. I see hints of green still left. I wait.

IF only I just listened to myself when I saw the signs then would I not have received such a burned product.

Giant. Enormous. Sigh.
