The Select Few

A few months ago I went to Bulk Barn frustrated with the fact that I had just thrown out 3/4 of a $13.00 bag of mix fruit and nuts. It took me 10 minutes of sifting through the bin to scoop out all the dried kiwi. I also removed all the Cheerios and Shreddies from the Bit's n Bites bin.

I take my purchases to the counter. Confused, the cashier asks her manager when they got in dried Kiwi. The manager took a look at my bags, raised an eye brow and asked "really?".

New perspectives

I have learned so much in the past year it's ridiculous. General life has changed so much that I have been forced to view things with a new set of eyes. This is a good thing. I believe when life kicks you in the face you have two choices: take it as a learning experience, go forward and put a smile on your face or see it as life fucking with you and become a complete disaster in the process.

No matter how marginally better I feel when I wear my smile, at least I feel better.
